Tzatziki is a traditional yogurt sauce that is a staple in a Greek household. It pairs perfectly with meatballs, grilled pita bread, or spread on raw veggies. Enjoy, but be warned that you may scare away your significant other with garlic breath!
Traditional Tzatziki
Creamy, protein-filled, & tasty! Tzatziki is the perfect dip for get-togethers or served with some grilled pita and raw veggies. Dig in!
Ingredients
- 3 cups full-fat Plain Greek Yogurt, see note
- 4 tbsp lemon juice
- 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 large cucumber, skinned and diced finely
- 2 garlic cloves, minced (or more if you like vampire breath)
- 1 tbsp fresh dill
- 1 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
- 1 tsp ground sea salt, to taste
- Pitted Kalamata Olives, optional
Instructions
- Mix all of the ingredients into a bowl and voila! Add extra minced garlic for a kick, more EVOO if spreading on pita, or top with pitted kalamata olives for a traditional table-side appetizer!
Notes
I recommend Fage 5% Whole Milk Yogurt for a rich taste
