Sugar-Free Baked Cinnamon Apples

This recipe is simple and delicious! The apples are the perfect complement to a morning bowl of oats or added to a yogurt parfait. Store in a mason jar for the longest lasting results in the fridge.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 medium size gala or honey crisp apples
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1.25 cups Thrive Market cinnamon apple sauce
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced and tossed on top
  • 1 pinch maldon sea salt (or Himalayan)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375F. Prep a baking sheet or pyrex baking dish with parchment paper.
  • First finely slice the apples.
  • Heat coconut oil in microwave until melted, about 40-60 seconds.
  • In a metal salad bowl, add all ingredients except salt. Toss well.
  • Spread the apples on top of the parchment paper, making sure to space out well.
  • Add pinch of sea salt. Place in oven for 40-45 minutes or until golden-brown, crisp and aromatic.
  • Optional - halfway through baking, use a spatula to move the apple slices around to evenly bake.
